This Just In . . .

Bloom and Bound Publishing House has been a lifelong dream, passion project and a goal of mine for as long as I can remember. I always knew I wanted to write a book; I had the words, but wasn't sure what to do with them or what the next step would be. Enter (drum roll, please), Emily Mueller! Emily and I have known each other since elementary school, but life has a beautiful way of reconnecting you with and crossing paths with people when you need them most (and sometimes, when you least expect it, everything falls into place as if it was always supposed to happen - even the timing).

Emily is the powerhouse and illustrator extraordinaire behind Maddaisy Creative and the visionary who brought my words (and The Pup with the Heart-Shaped Nose) to life! From the moment I reached out to Emily about writing my book, she has been a fierce supporter, encourager and collaborator. Bloom and Bound Publishing House would not be where we are today, and The Pup with the Heart-Shaped Nose would not be what it is without her.

Today, I am beyond thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news (Insert Taylor Swift "Are You Ready For It") . . .

Since the beginning of this journey, I have considered Emily my creative collaborator and counterpart, but now I can officially share that we are now partners in this writing and illustrating journey! Bloom and Bound Publishing House has acquired Maddaisy Creative and, in simple terms, this means Emily is stuck with me! All jokes aside, this means that we will be uniting storytelling and design under one roof moving forward! We're going to showcase words, art, and everything in between! My "author era" has been one of my favorite chapters so far and doing it alongside Emily has been an unexpected treat and a welcome blessing.
